Denti Kindergarteners Performs Annual Play 'Gotta Go to Mexico"

Life cycle of a monarch butterflyKindergarteners in Len Gratch's class at Denti Elementary performed the annual "Gotta Go to Mexico" play on October 18. The play depicts the entire life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly and the children role-play different characters to help tell the story.


Since the very first day of school, they have seen the entire process unfold from new-born caterpillars to adult monarch butterflies now getting ready to migrate to Mexico.


This project attempts to underscore the value of project-based learning to help motivate children to learn.
